FISHERMAN OUT OF IRELAND
The brand Fisherman out of Ireland was founded in 1991 by the well-known family business Blarney Woollen Mills. It has been at the top of Irish knitwear manufacturers for over 30 years. The company consists of a close-knit team of 43 people. Many of them have worked for over 25 years to create the brand. From the first stitch to the final press, each piece of the entire collection for men and women is made at their knitting factory in Kilcar, County Donegal, a small Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) village rich in the textile tradition and nestled between the Derryveagh mountains and the wild Atlantic ocean. It is this awe inspiring environment, along with the local fishing communities, which constantly feeds the designers' inspiration when creating new yarns, colours and styles for each new collection.
