PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The ARTIS collection is known for elegant lines and purity of form. The light, natural painting, which does not completely cover the wood grain, gives the statues a stylish look.
The wooden statues of Mary, Joseph and the Holy Infant Jesus are carved and decorated in Italy (Val Gardena) by local artists. The region is famous for its handmade statues, reliefs, nativity scenes and many other works of art made of wood. Since the 19th century these artists have been making sculptures and carved altars for Catholic churches all over the world.
